POY (Pre-Oriented Yarn/Partially Oriented Yarns) is a type of synthetic filament with partial orientation obtained through high-speed spinning. Made directly from PTA and MEG or polyester PET slices through a high-speed spinning system. The spinning speed of high-speed spinning is usually between 3000~6000m/min, and the wound yarn with a spinning speed below 4000m/min has a high degree of orientation, which is called Pre-Oriented Yarn. POY has good orientation and stability, high strength, and poor elasticity. In addition, by adding different amounts of titanium dioxide (TiO2) during the melt spinning process, Polyester Pre-Oriented Yarn can be made into products with different gloss levels. POY is mainly used to manufacture deformed silk and is widely used in fields such as knitting, weaving, and warp knitting.
POY has a wide range of applications. In the textile industry, after being texturized, it exhibits elastic and stretchable properties, making it a high-quality raw material for textiles. It is used in the production of imitation wool, imitation silk fabrics, suits, shirts, duvet covers, curtain fabrics, etc. Due to its high strength, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance, it can be used in various industrial materials, such as tire cords, conveyor belts and car seat belts. It can also be used to produce various functional fibers, such as flame-retardant fibers and UV-resistant fibers.
Partial Orientation: After high-speed spinning, POY fiber molecular chains have a certain degree of orientation, which can achieve better physical properties in subsequent processing.
Gloss and Color Diversity: By adding titanium dioxide (TiO2), POY with different gloss levels such as full extinction, semi extinction, or gloss can be obtained. At the same time, POY can also perform original liquid dyeing to obtain fiber products of various colors.
Good Strength and Stability: POY has high strength, which can better resist tension and fracture, and is not easily affected by external environmental factors that may cause performance changes.
Versatile Applications: POY is mainly used for manufacturing deformation yarn (DTY) and stretch warp knitting, and is widely used in textile and warp knitting fields.
Environmentally Friendly: POY has good recyclability and reusability, which can reduce environmental pollution.
