Isophthalic Acid is mainly used to synthesize polyester resins, such as molding materials, films, insulation materials and coatings. In fiber manufacturing, it can be used to synthesize specific types of polyester fibers, such as high shrinkage fibers and heat-resistant fibers. In the fields of medicine and pesticides, it can be used as a pharmaceutical intermediate, insecticide, or herbicide.
